DJ Din Beramboi in stable condition
KUALA LUMPUR: Popular radio DJ and comedian Mior Ahmad Fuad Mior Badri, better known as Din Beramboi, is in a stable condition at the Selayang Hospital.
Yesterday, he was reported to be suffering from a suspected dengue haemorrhagic fever.
While refuting media reports which stated that her father had slipped into a coma, Nil Aina Hadibah, 18, said his condition had improved yesterday as compared to the previous day. Funny judge: Din Beramboi appearing on the jury of the reality show ‘Raja Lawak’ recently.
“He is now in a stable condition. Yes, he was in critical condition yesterday, but he was not in a coma as reported. He was just sedated by the doctor to ease the treatment process,” she said at the hospital yesterday.
Nil Aina said her father’s actual illness had yet to be ascertained, adding that he was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) for what was believed to be dengue haemorrhagic fever.
She said the hospital was also in the midst of conducting follow-up treatment to ascertain whether the DJ showed symptoms of infection caused by rat urine.
Nil Aina said her father, who was admitted to the hospital at 3.25pm on Monday, is expected to be in the ICU until today before being transferred to a normal ward.
She said her father was ill and showed symptoms of fever and fatigue since last week.
“My mother and I also suffered from fever since last week, and my father probably contracted it from us,” she added.
Din Beramboi, 44, is also a popular cartoonist and actor and was on the jury of a recently-concluded reality show Raja Lawak aired on Astro Ria,
Apart from his family, popular DJs Linda Onn and Halim Othman also visited Din Beramboi at the hospital yesterday. — BernamaLabels: Din Beramboi |
